On certain Curt trailer hitches, Curt requires a stabilization strap for their warranty on non-trailer loads. The strap in question is # 18050. One end attached to the bike rack or cargo carrier, the other end has a hook meant to attach to the gap between the trunk or hatch and the body of the vehicle.
